Warm/Cold Context Guess

All games

Find the hidden word using temperature clues. No timer. No penalty for unlisted words.

How to play · with an example

Type a word and press Check guess. Hot means a direct function, output or defining part; Warm means a close use, tool or subject; Cool means a broader connection; Cold means a clear contrast. These are authored relationships for this puzzle, not measured distances or universal word rankings.

Example: if the answer were umbrella, “rain” could be Hot, “coat” Warm and “sun” Cool. A word absent from our vocabulary receives no temperature and costs no guess. Every accepted guess includes the reason.

Find the answer with as few listed guesses and hints as you can. Hints become more specific. Repeated guesses cost nothing. Reveal ends the puzzle without a win. Finished daily results are preserved; the progress notice shows where they are saved. Practice can be replayed.
