These are authored word-association routes, not measured graph paths or crowd rankings. Choose a judging lens and award first, second and third place to three different routes. You can revise until you submit once.

Compact ranks fewer links first. Specific ranks fewer listed broad words first, then fewer links. Theme ranks more listed theme words first, then fewer links. Count middle words only; final ties use A before B before C. Each exact place earns 10 points; a podium route in a different place earns 3. Maximum 30 points for your chosen lens.

Worked example: Red → paint → art → Blue has 3 links. If “art” is a broad word and “paint” is a theme word, it has 1 broad word and 1 theme word. Red → sky → Blue has 2 links, so Compact prefers it.
