Meaning Drift Newsroom v2

Compare the samples. File the evidence.

Authored top-20 sample practice. These positions are not observed news drift or measured Contextoid rankings.

File eight comparisons. A smaller rank is a higher position in the sample. Choose a category, then commit with File evidence. A wrong choice receives a desk correction and advances to the next card.

The six filing rules, with an example

Stable rank: both ranks are sampled and differ by at most 3 places. Moves up / down: both are sampled and differ by at least 4 places. Rank 8 → rank 4 moves up 4 places; rank 4 → rank 8 moves down 4. Rank 8 → rank 5 stays within the stable 3-place band.

Newsroom only / Baseline only: sampled in just that list. Other file: sampled only in the separate file. These labels concern a finite sample, not real emergence, disappearance or semantic irrelevance.

The positions are authored for these puzzles within a top-20 window. They are not observed news drift or measured Contextoid rankings. Daily changes at 00:00 UTC. This authored collection repeats 8 daily puzzles and has 4 separate practice puzzles. The saved-progress notice shows whether this browser or the server is keeping your progress.
