Bridge

Five pairs. Find a word that connects both sides.

Read the requested role, then choose from that pair’s six-word bank. Check bridge commits your guess. An accepted word locks the pair; it may score less than this file’s top answer. You have three distinct wrong tries per pair. Unknown words and repeated guesses at the same pair are free.

Scoring and the finite word contract

Each documented endpoint link is worth 40 points, plus 20 for meeting the specific requested role. Both endpoint links must be present to accept a bridge. Deduct 5 per earlier miss from an accepted word’s base points. The top answer reaches 100, but accepted alternatives can earn less. After a paid miss, its receipt explains both links and the requested role so you can revise your next choice. It does not evaluate any untried word. The full six-word file opens after the pair settles. A one-sided or unrelated word earns no pair points.

These are authored associations and a finite game rubric, not measured semantic distance or universal word quality. Reveal or three misses settles that pair at zero points, without counting it as bridged. Matching ignores case, spaces and underscores; reviewed aliases work. Bank taps only fill a draft. Choose any unfinished pair and return later.
